CLIC Jan’10 News Update

January 1, 2010 by ken

Time magazine labelled year 2000 – 2009 as a “A Decade from Hell” Today is the beginning of a New Year and a New Decade ahead. The pages are clean and empty, waiting for you to write what is to come. We can’t change the past, but we can decide on a new beginning with a new ending. What it will be depends on what you write till all the days of your life were written in His book. (Ps 139)

Today, choose to grow deep in God. Commit to anchor your life firmly on the full counsel of God’s Word. Pray for a revival of the Word. Ask for an insatiable hunger, a new appreciation for the life-giving, life-changing power of the Word. This is the one I esteem: he who is humble and contrite in spirit, and trembles at My word. Isaiah 66:2

The finest art of prayer is listening. This 21-Day Season, pray for ears that hear and understand — before God has to shout at us through a prophet, or perhaps, even through a disaster. Ask for a listening heart that is tender and teachable. Ask for grace to fully embrace the implications of God’s Word for yourself, the Church, and our beloved nation.
